40 Years of word art. 31 Days of Ancestral Strata. Launched January 23rd 2026
After four decades of creating word art, manonadune found a new catalyst in the heights and depths of Prague. The towers and basements of that city provided the impetus for Ancestral Strata—a series that connects his North Yorkshire present with his London birthplace and deep roots in the North East.
This series represents a dialogue with landscape. Each video features words improvised on-site, capturing the immediate spirit of the location. Some pieces are a single, focused breath; others are a collage of times and places.
